The Hope-Hill Elementary School Foundation provides support for educational programming, teacher grants, and quality facilities improvements in order to create a more equitable learning environment for all Hope-Hill kids.
The Hope-Hill Elementary Foundation was organized in 2014 by a group of neighborhood parents and community leaders to support Hope-Hill Elementary School, a pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade traditional public school.
The school is located in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood within the Martin Luther King, Jr., National Historic Site.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the Hope-Hill Elementary Foundation is to support learning for students and professional development and support for teachers at Hope-Hill Elementary School.
OUR VISION
Students at Hope-Hill Elementary School will perform at or above the level of other students in their grade level within the Grady Cluster. They will enter middle school as well-rounded learners on an equal footing with their peers. Hope-Hill will be a first-choice school for talented teachers throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.

OUR WINS
After-school Tutorials
The Foundation funds after-school tutorials, enrichment, and other activities that give students the extra help they need to catch up and get ahead.
Support Operational Budget
The Hope-Hill PTA is the main source of funds to supplement the annual operational budget of Hope-Hill. However, since many parents are not able to contribute, the PTA may be lacking in funds to meet the needs outlined in its annual budget. The Foundation helps to meet shortfalls in the annual PTA budget.
Beautification and Safety
The Foundation partnered with the Trust for Public Land to create a playground that was created in collaboration with the students of Hope-Hill.
The Foundation has advocated for safer bike and walk routes for the students at Hope-Hill. Each year they host a “Bike and Roll” to school. In 2025, they had over 100 families participate in the “Bike and Roll.”
Capital Improvements
Replaced old broken blinds with automatic blinds. Purchased long lasting picnic tables. Through partnership with NCR, the foundation provided 21st century classroom furniture.
Teacher Grants
CPR training for staff.
Yearly musical production with Ms. Kingston.
Support teacher conferences and training.
Teacher Morale
The foundation supports staff lunches, Teacher Appreciation week gifts, and teacher hardship grants.
STEAM Enrichment
Every student at Hope-Hill attends a STEAM enrichment field trip that helps them better understand the properties of STEAM. The foundation makes sure every child has an opportunity to participate in the STEAM enrichment.
