The Hope-Hill Elementary School Foundation provides support for educational programming, teacher grants, and quality facilities improvements in order to create a more equitable learning environment for all Hope Hill kids.

The Hope-Hill Elementary Foundation was organized in 2014 by a group of neighborhood parents and community leaders to support Hope-Hill Elementary School, a pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade traditional public school.

The school is located in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood within the Martin Luther King, Jr., National Historic Site.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Hope-Hill Elementary Foundation is to support learning for students and professional development and support for teachers at Hope-Hill Elementary School.

OUR VISION

Students at Hope-Hill Elementary School will perform at or above the level of other students in their grade level within the Grady Cluster. They will enter middle school as well-rounded learners on an equal footing with their peers. Hope-Hill will be a first-choice school for talented teachers throughout the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.

QUALITY FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS

"Hope-Hill offers our daughter a top-notch, personalized learning experience in a warm and loving environment. My wife and I couldn't imagine sending her to school anywhere else. Our daughter loves Hope-Hill so much she complains when she has to go on vacation!”

OUR WINS

After-school Tutorials

The Foundation funds after-school tutorials, enrichment, and other activities that give students the extra help they need to catch up and get ahead.

Support Operational Budget

The Hope-Hill PTA is the main source of funds to supplement the annual operational budget of Hope-Hill. However, since many parents are not able to contribute, the PTA may be lacking in funds to meet the needs outlined in its annual budget. The Foundation helps to meet shortfalls in the annual PTA budget.

Technology

The Foundation helps bridge the digital divide by subsidizing technological resources not provided by the school system.

Capital Improvements

Replaced old broken blinds with automatic blinds. Purchased long lasting picnic tables.

Teacher Grants

Supports field trips. Each year the fifth graders go on an away field trip like Orlando, Savannah, Blue Ridge. The field trips are subsidized for all the children regardless of income.

Teacher stem projects.

Yearly musical production with Ms. Kingston.

Teacher Morale

Teacher lunches. Teacher Appreciation Week gifts.

COVID mitigation supplies

Bought masks, plastic shields, and helped fund pod learning during COVID pandemic.

β€œWe strongly believe in public education. We decided Hope-Hill was the right choice for our son after visiting the school, researching the school’s mission in supporting the students and our community, and talking with parents. Three years later, our son is happy and thriving, the teachers and admin support have been amazing, and we are excited for our younger daughter to start pre-K at Hope-Hill this August.”
